BIO BLURB

KEVIN TOWNSEND
is a painter, printmaker and former master printer for Hand Print Workshop International and River Tree Arts. He has taught drawing, painting, portfolio development, printmaking and Art History as adjunct faculty at Corcoran College of Art + Design, Maine College of Art, Montserrat College of Art and can currently be found teaching at MassArt.

As a master printer for HPWI Kevin was awarded an honorarium from the National Museum of American Art (DC) and has produced limited edition, hand printed screen prints in colaboration with 
artists including: Alexander Brodsky, Komar+Melamid, Melissa Harshman, Tom Green, Igor Makarevich, Georgia Deal, Pavel Makov and Leonid Tishkov.

Kevin’s work in the high school classroom has earned him a teacher of the year nomination as well as recognition by the New Jersey Council for the Humanities for excellence in high school arts education. His personal work has been featured in the Prints Washington Exhibition, the Chelsea Museum and can be found in the Corcoran Gallery of Artʼs permanent collection as well as the White House Ornament Collection. Kevin holds a BFA from Corcoran College of Art and Design.
